Paris with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Scott!

We went to Paris for 4 days with my parents and brother, which was really fun! We spent the first day at Disneyland again, which was really fun (but much busier than last time). The boys were really happy!

On Friday we went to the Louvre, where Benjamin was excited to see this painting in real life. :)

Then we walked through the Jardin Tuileries, and were greeted with this view on the other side.

This is also where the Musee de l'Orangerie is located, where there are two rooms dedicated to Monet's Water Lilies. Absolutely gorgeous! This was amazing.

We walked along the Seine River, crossed a bridge, and found a fun little area to play.

We walked by Notre Dame so Scott could see it before he left on Saturday morning.

The bakery by our hotel. Yum.

On Saturday we went to Montmartre and the Sacre C'oeur Basilica.

Then we walked to the Moulin Rouge.

And took the Metro to the Arc de Triomphe.

We ended our day at the Eiffel Tower, where we got to go to the top. Such a pretty day! And amazing views...

On Sunday before our train left we got one last croissant and played at a playground. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful all week...Sunny, warm, and blue skies that went on forever...

Fasching parade

Last Tuesday was Faschingdienstag, the German celebration of Fat Tuesday. There was a parade in Heidelberg, which was tons of fun to watch! There were drums, crazy costumes, candy and confetti galore!

Before the parade, some students had a little dance party in the classrooms:

Outside on the Hauptstrasse.

The parade!
